Five “Private Placement” Opportunities Streamed Live

(A “Shark Tank” Event Taking Place on February 24th)

From the desk of Andrew Gordon:

Last week I sent you an invitation to join us in an exclusive event showcasing five startups live over the internet in our very own “shark tank” event.

So I’m sending you this slightly updated invitation as a friendly reminder to sign up for this exciting webinar event taking place next Monday. If you missed my original invitation or you forgot the details, please take a couple of minutes to read the below. It’s shaping up to be a great event. I hope you can make it.

Dear Startup Investor subscriber:

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be Mark Cuban, one of the sharks on the TV show “Shark Tank”?

I’d like you to experience it for yourself.

Believe me, this won’t be like turning on your TV and tuning in to the show.

You’ll get the chance to rate the pitches from founders of five of the hottest startups on the market as they explain why they think their company could develop into the next Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) or Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN).

If this sounds like we’re asking you to put your “venture capital” hat on, you’re right.

Next Monday evening, The Oxford Club will help you find out what it’s like to evaluate early-stage, private-placement opportunities.

On February 24, 7-8 p.m., the Club’s Startup Investor, together with our friends at RockThePost, is co-hosting a DEMO Day webinar featuring five exciting startups.

These companies were personally chosen by me, culled from the dozens of companies listed on one of my favorite portals, RockThePost (rockthepost.com). All of their companies have something unique and interesting.

These five stood out the most. But you don’t have to believe me. In fact, I want you to judge these companies for yourself. So this is what we’re going to do…

Five Companies… Five Founders… 10 Minutes

We’re giving each founder 10 minutes to tell you about their company and what’s so special about their products and technology.

Ten precious minutes to convince you that their company is destined for big things.

Whether or not they do a good job, we’d like to know why. So we’ll be giving you an interactive form to rate the companies as you listen to their pitches.

At the end of the hour-long event, we’ll add up your numbers along with the other attendees’ and give you the overall rating of each of the five companies.

Hopefully, all five startups will intrigue you as much as they intrigued me. Whether they do or not, though, you’re going to get an inside look on how entrepreneurs are trying out their ideas in some of the country’s hottest and most innovative sectors.

Here is a brief description of the five companies I’ve selected for you…

1. CoFoundersLab: Helps entrepreneurs build their founding teams by matching them through an online platform and at in-person, co-founder meet ups held in more than 35 cities globally. Over 100 companies have launched through its system.

2. GreenWizard: Provides a SaaS (software as a service) enterprise application that allows architects and contractors to make the most informed decisions regarding green building products. It works with half of the top 10 U.S. design firms plus the top three contractors.

3. Nooch: Its payment platform links with any existing bank account to fund payments to friends, family, landlords, charities and more. Nearly $10,000 in person-to-person volume processed to date.

4. Pristine EyeSight: Provides a video communication platform via Google Glass for healthcare personnel including surgeons, emergency responders, and home health and wound care nurses. Revenue is $6,500 a month and growing.

5. SpyGlass: Its network of sensors delivers real-time water information via the Internet to workers operating in the oil and gas industries. The company has generated $1.8 million in revenue since 2009.

So I hope you accept this invitation. I’m not sure I’ll be able to extend an opportunity like this to such a large audience ever again.

It’s easy to sign up, just…

Register with Eventbrite: Click here. Feel free to invite your spouse, if you wish, but, sorry, no friends. This is an exclusive event for Chairman’s Circle Members only.

Then register with
RockThePost here.

IMPORTANT: RockThePost will require you to register and qualify as an accredited investor. “Accredited Investor” is defined in detail under Rule 501(a) of the Securities Act of 1933. Essentially, if you make $200,000 a year (or $300,000 as a couple) or your personal assets, excluding your personal home, total $1 million or more, you qualify.

This requirement is mandated by the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission. Neither RockThePost nor I have the power to grant exceptions to this rule.

So sign up today. Mark it on your calendar:

Monday, February 24
From 7-8 p.m.

On the day of the webinar, we’ll email you login information to access the event that evening.

I’m greatly looking forward to this special evening. If it’s something you think you’d like to do on an ongoing basis, keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll be telling you soon how you can sign up to the Startup Investor.

Yours,

Andy Gordon
